Peel and wash 3-4 potatoes.

Cut the potatoes into desired shape.

Do not wash the potatoes again after cutting; leave them as is to retain their starch.

Heat a skillet with a lid on medium heat.

Add half a centimeter of sunflower oil to the skillet.

Test the oil temperature by adding a piece of potato; it should sizzle.

Add the cut potatoes to the skillet and cover with a lid.

After about 5 minutes, check the potatoes and turn them over.

Let them cook for another 2-3 minutes with the lid on.

Sprinkle salt over the potatoes and mix them gently.

Add a little garlic powder on top and mix again.
