Pecan Bars

1/2 c unsalted butter
1/2 c (110g) light brown sugar
1 1/3 c flour (160 g)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 c finely chopped pecans
2 eggs
3/4 c dark corn syrup
1/2 c (110g) light brown sugar
3 T flour
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c coarsely-chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°.

Cream butter and 1/2 c light brown sugar together. In a separate bowl, whisk together thoroughly, flour and baking powder. Add in gradually along with 1/4 c finely chopped pecans. Mix together until it reaches bread crumbs.

Divide into two 8x8 pans that are lined with parchment paper. Press down with fingers and bake for 10 minutes.

For the filling, in a separate bowl, beat two eggs until they're frothy. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and divide between the two pans. Bake for 20 minutes longer.

Allow to cool in pans before cutting into 2-inch bars.
