Sticky Buns
In a small saucepan, heat the milk, water, and 1/4 cup butter until warm (about 110°F).
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
Add the warm milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
Gradually add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup melted butter for the filling.
Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches). Spread the filling mixture evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle chopped pecans over the filling if using. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm sticky buns before serving.
