Identify the spice berries by their oval shape and deep red color when ripe.
Collect green leaves to make tea and ensure they have a citrusy smell when crushed.
Cut the leaves to prepare them for tea and place them in a tea ball.
Brew the tea on a wood cook stove while preparing the scones.
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 egg.
Use 1/3 cup of media crema instead of heavy cream due to unavailability.
Cut the spice berries, removing the seeds by slicing around the outside and squeezing them out.
Mix the dough by hand until it comes together, then press it out to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick on parchment paper.
Score the dough into eight pieces without separating them.
Bake the scones in the oven at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove the scones from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
Make a glaze using confectionary sugar, milk, and orange powder, then drizzle it over the scones.
