Welcome to Slider Sunday presented by Kings Hawaiian.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice the Kings Hawaiian savory butter rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
Spread mayonnaise on each side of the sliced rolls.
Melt half a stick of butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Layer Black Forest ham evenly on the bottom half of the buns, adding volume and twirling it for texture.
Drizzle a little hot honey over the ham (optional).
Add a layer of Swiss cheese on top of the ham.
Repeat with another layer of ham, followed by more hot honey, and finish with another layer of Swiss cheese.
Place the layered buns in an ovenproof tray or casserole dish.
In the melted butter, mix in about a tablespoon of brown sugar, half a teaspoon each of onion powder and garlic powder, and about a tablespoon of spicy brown mustard.
Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the mixture and whisk together to create a glaze.
Brush the brown sugar glaze generously over the top of the sliders, ensuring to cover all areas and let it drizzle down the sides.
Sprinkle fresh chives and poppy seeds on top of the glaze.
Optionally, add a sprinkle of Maldon salt for extra flavor.
Cover the tray with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes to melt the cheese.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow caramelization of the sugar on top.
After baking, let cool slightly, then cut the sliders in half to serve.
