Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. 2In a large oven-safe pot, heat a little oil over medium-high heat.
  3. 3Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder.
  4. 4Sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. 5Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
  6. 6In the same pot, add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
