1 cup tomato sauce (8 ounces)
1 chopped onion
1 tablespoon tomato paste
vermicelli pasta
3 garlic cloves
4 ounces soaked chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
2 chicken thighs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups hot water (32 ounces)

Cut carrot, potato, and celery into halves.

Chop parsley and celery leaves.

Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to a pot.

Add chicken thighs and sauté for 1 minute on each side.

Add chopped onion and grated garlic; stir and sauté for about 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup of tomato sauce, chopped vegetables, and 1 tablespoon of tomato paste.

Add half of the chopped parsley and celery leaves.

Add spices: 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander, 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, black pepper, and 1 teaspoon salt.

Add 4 cups of hot water and cover; cook for 15 to 20 minutes in a pressure cooker.

Remove chicken and vegetables after cooking; puree the vegetables.

Cut chicken into small pieces and return to the pot.

Add soaked chickpeas, vermicelli, and remaining chopped parsley and celery leaves.

Cook for another 10 minutes.
