Hydrate 250 g of sunflower seeds in water for 4-6 hours, then drain.
Place the hydrated sunflower seeds in a blender.
Add 6-7 large unsalted olives (without pits) to the blender.
Add 1 tablespoon of grated tomato paste to the blender.
Add 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder (or 2-3 fresh garlic cloves), 1 tablespoon of dried onion (or 1/2 small raw onion), 1 teaspoon of basil, and 1 teaspoon of coriander to the blender.
Pour in about 150 ml of vegetable milk or water, and add salt to taste.
Blend the mixture until it reaches the desired consistency, adjusting with more liquid if necessary.
Serve the pâté on slices of wholemeal bread, optionally topped with tomatoes.
