Instructions

- 5Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- 6Stir in tomato sauce, cumin, oregano, bay leaves, salt, and black pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
- 7Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 8In a baking dish, layer half of the fried plantains at the bottom.
- 9Spread the beef mixture over the plantains, followed by a layer of cheese.
- 10Add the remaining plantains on top, pressing down gently.
- 11Beat eggs and pour over the top layer, allowing it to seep through.
- 12Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired.
- 13Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until set and golden on top.
- 14Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

- 9Fold cooked potatoes into the picadillo mixture and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 10Remove bay leaves before serving.
