Take a heavy vessel like a cooker or a pan.
Add 1 cup of salt to the vessel.
Heat the salt on high for about 5 minutes without covering it.
Once heated, reduce the flame.
Gradually add corn chips to the heated salt.
Use a ladle to gently turn the corn chips for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until they resemble cornflakes.
Remove the cornflakes and let them cool in a bowl.
Transfer the salt immediately to avoid burning the vessel.
Spread the fried cornflakes on a plate to cool for 1-2 minutes.
If you want a slight sweetness, add 2-3 tablespoons of jaggery.
Use a heavy pan or cooker for melting the jaggery.
Add enough jaggery according to your preference.
Add 2 tablespoons of water and heat on medium flame to dissolve the jaggery.
Once dissolved, filter the jaggery to remove impurities.
Place the filtered jaggery back in the vessel on medium heat until it thickens and bubbles form.
Add the cornflakes to the thickened jaggery and mix well.
Adjust sweetness according to your taste by adding more jaggery if needed.
Once mixed, spread the cornflakes on a plate to cool down.
Store in an airtight container for 1.5 to 2 months.
