Mocha Hot Chocolate

In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
Whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until fully dissolved.
Add the brewed coffee and chocolate chips, stirring until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mocha hot chocolate into mugs.
Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
Serve immediately.
