Apple cider vinegar adds a fruity flavor while being slightly healthier.

Honey is a natural sweetener that can enhance flavor.
Slice the cucumbers, carrots, radishes, and onions into thin pieces.
Peel and crush the garlic cloves.
Combine water, white vinegar, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the black peppercorns, mustard seeds, red pepper flakes, and bay leaves to the mixture.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the brine cool slightly.
Place the sliced vegetables and garlic in a clean jar.
Pour the brine over the vegetables, ensuring they are fully submerged.
Add fresh dill and lemon zest on top of the vegetables.
Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
For best flavor, let the pickles sit for 24 hours before consuming.
