Fritto Misto

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Gradually whisk in the cold sparkling water until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 350°F (175°C).
While the oil is heating, prepare the seafood by cleaning and cutting it into bite-sized pieces if necessary.
Dip the seafood pieces into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
Carefully place the battered seafood into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry the seafood for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried seafood and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Repeat the frying process with the remaining seafood.
Once all the seafood is fried, arrange it on a serving platter, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
