Mix warm milk, dry yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let it sit until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, vanilla sugar, and salt.

Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour mixture, then add the egg.

Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise until doubled in size.

Roll out the dough and spread soft butter on top.
