Cauliflower Au Gratin

1/4 cup butter
1 head of cauliflower (broken into medium size florets)
4 ounces ham (chopped)
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup Gruyere cheese (shredded)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cook the prepped cauliflower florets in a large pot of boiling water until soft which will take about 5 to 7 minutes.

Drain the water from the pot.

In a medium-size saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the ham over medium heat.

Pour the heavy cream into the saucepan and stir.

Allow the heavy cream to come to a boil and reduce the heat to low, keeping it stirred until the sauce thickens a bit.

Add the paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Stir in the Gruyere and Parmesan cheese until melted completely.

Pour half the sauce into a deep baking dish with 2-inch sides.

Add the boiled cauliflower.

Top the cauliflower with the remaining sauce.

Sprinkle a small amount of cheese over the top of the dish just before popping it in the oven.

Bake the dish at 350 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the top is browned.
