How To Make A Creamy Chicken And Mushroom Orzo

Add 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil to a pan and heat it up.

Add one chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces and season with paprika, garlic and herb seasoning, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and salt.

Mix the chicken and allow it to cook for 6 minutes or until fully cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.

Add another tablespoon of butter and 1 and 1/2 cups of sliced mushrooms with some salt to the pan.

Sauté the mushrooms until they become nice and golden brown.

Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 30 seconds or until fragrant.

Pour in 1 cup of orzo and toast for 1 to 2 minutes.

Pour in 1 and 1/2 cups of chicken broth, increase the heat, and bring to a simmer.

Reduce the heat and allow the orzo to simmer for 10 minutes or until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring often.

Once the orzo is tender, lower the heat and pour in 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream, more paprika, pepper, salt, garlic and herb seasoning, Italian seasoning, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, 1 cup of spinach, and the cooked chicken.

Mix everything until the spinach wilts and everything is well combined.

Serve the creamy chicken and mushroom orzo.
