Prepare the marinade by mixing together 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1.5 tablespoons red chili powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 0.5 teaspoon black salt, 0.5 teaspoon orange food color, 1 large lemon, 1 tablespoon garlic paste, 0.5 teaspoon roasted cumin powder, approximately 0.5 kg yogurt, and 1 egg.

Make deep cuts in the whole chicken (1.5 to 2 kg) to allow the marinade to penetrate.

Rub the marinade all over the chicken, ensuring it gets into the cuts.
