How to Make Basmati Rice in 20 Minutes

Basmati rice, originating from the Indian subcontinent, is cherished for its long grains and aromatic qualities. Traditionally served with curries and biryanis, it holds a significant place in South Asian cuisine. Today, its popularity has spread globally, making it a staple in many households.
Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.
Rinse the rice well in two to three changes of clean water until the water runs clear.
In a pot, add a small piece of butter and let it melt over medium heat.
Add the drained rice and saute it in the butter for a minute or two, stirring constantly.
Add water, using twice as much water as rice (e.g., 1 cup of rice needs 2 cups of water).
Add seasonings of your choice like salt or pepper and stir gently.
Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat to low, around 2-3 out of 6.
Cover the pot and let the rice cook until all the water is absorbed, usually about 10-15 minutes.
Let the rice rest for a few minutes, fluff it with a fork, and it's ready to serve.
