Chop the chocolate and reserve half of it.
Mix together half of the chopped chocolate and vegetable oil, then microwave for about 2 minutes until melted.
Let the mixture rest for 3 minutes, then stir until creamy and smooth.
Combine sugar, sifted cocoa powder, salt, and eggs in a bowl and beat well for about 3-4 minutes.
Pour in the melted chocolate and add the vanilla extract.
Fold in the sifted flour gently in about two additions.
Mix most of the reserved chopped chocolate into the batter.
Grease an 8 by 8 inch pan and line with parchment paper.
Spoon the brownie batter into the pan and level well, then top with the rest of the chopped chocolate.
Bake at 325°F for about 45 minutes.
Let it cool for about 1 hour, then cut into 16 pieces.
