Whole wheat flour adds fiber and nutrients.
Greek yogurt
🥗Healthier: plain yogurt
💰Cheaper: sour cream
Plain yogurt maintains similar texture with fewer calories.
Dump 2 cups of self-rising flour into a mixing bowl.
Add 1 and 1/4 cups of whole milk to the flour.
Stir the mixture until combined, being careful not to over mix.
If using plain flour instead of self-rising, add 1 tablespoon of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the flour before mixing with milk.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter or oil.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or 30 minutes if using smaller loaf pans.
Let the bread cool before removing it from the pan.
