Whole wheat flour adds fiber and nutrients.
Greek yogurt

Plain yogurt maintains similar texture with fewer calories.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Measure 3 and 1/2 cups of self-rising flour and add it to a large mixing bowl.
Add 2 cups of cold whole milk to the flour in the bowl.
Mix the flour and milk together until a batter forms.
Pour the batter into an oiled 8 and 1/2 in x 4 and 1/2 in cast iron loaf pan.
Smooth out the top of the batter in the loaf pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes.
Check the bread at 35 minutes; cover with foil if it is browning too quickly.
Remove the bread from the oven after 50 minutes; turn it out of the loaf pan immediately.
Optionally, brush melted butter on top of the bread for added flavor and shine.
Let the bread cool before slicing, but slice it warm if desired.
