1 cup Quaker brand grits
2 tablespoons salted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
4 large eggs
1/2 cup colby jack cheese

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and place hickory bacon on it, leaving space between slices.

Place beef smoked sausage in a 12-inch cast iron skillet and add a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

Put the bacon and sausage in the oven and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through.

In a pot, add Quaker brand grits with water and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring with a whisk to prevent lumps.

Check on the bacon and sausage while the grits are cooking, turning them over halfway through the cooking time.

Once the grits are done, add 6 tablespoons of salted butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 3/4 cup of sugar, stirring until melted and creamy.

In a separate pan, add olive oil and scramble 3 beaten eggs over medium heat, turning off the heat just before they are fully cooked to avoid burning.
