Cook With Me: Calypso Crab Legs & Shrimp

Calypso Crab Legs are inspired by Caribbean flavors, often enjoyed during festive gatherings and beach barbecues.
Ingredients
- ●2 lbs crab legs
- ●1/4 cup olive oil
- ●2 tbsp lemon juice
- ●4 cloves garlic, minced
- ●1 tsp paprika
- ●1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●1/4 tsp black pepper
- ●2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- ●1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- 1Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 2In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- 3Place the crab legs in a large dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 4Once marinated, place the crab legs on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are heated through and have grill marks.
- 5Remove the crab legs from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- 6Serve the crab legs with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
- 7Enjoy your Calypso Crab Legs hot!

- ●1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- ●1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- ●1 tbsp lemon zest
- ●1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- ●Salt to taste
- ●Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
- 4Pour in the lemon juice and add the lemon zest, stirring to combine.
- 5Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- 6Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
- 7Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- 8Serve immediately over rice or pasta, if desired.
