Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl, including all-purpose flour, baking powder, and yeast.
Mix the ingredients together until combined.
Add lukewarm water to form a soft dough, similar to regular bake dough.
Knead the dough well for about 5 minutes to develop the gluten.
Spritz the dough with a little oil, cover with a damp paper towel, and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 6 large pieces or 8 medium pieces, ensuring they are not too big.
Allow the divided pieces to rest for about 10 minutes, covered.
Roll out each piece on a greased surface to about half an inch thickness.
Let the rolled pieces rest for 5 to 10 minutes before frying them.
Heat oil in a deep pot over medium heat.
Fry the dough pieces until golden brown and crisp on both sides, flipping them to ensure even cooking.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels or parchment paper.
