Add 3 tablespoons of brown sugar to a very hot pan.

Allow the sugar to dissolve without stirring for about 5-7 minutes until it turns a light brown color.

As the sugar starts to caramelize, watch for it to darken and create a foam.

Once it is nice and dark, slowly add 1/4 cup of water while stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Turn the heat down and keep stirring until the mixture is completely combined and smooth.

Allow the Browning to cool; it will thicken as it cools.
