Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
Transfer the brownie mixture into a 20x20 cm baking tray lined with parchment paper, pressing down evenly.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Let the brownies cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting into 9 portions.
