¼+ cup fresh breadcrumbs or panko
olive oil
1 crushed garlic clove
¼ cup water
¼ white wine
½ lemon juice
1 fresh rosemary twig
1 fresh bay leaf
2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
salt
pepper

In a medium non-stick skillet set to low heat, drop in the breadcrumbs, and drizzle olive oil on top. Stir often until the breadcrumbs are toasted. Then remove and set aside.

Turn the heat to medium and drop in the crushed garlic clove, black pepper, and red crushed pepper to taste. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown. Do not burn! Remove the garlic and discard or use for a different dish.

Drop in frozen artichoke hearts from the bag. Add water, lemon, rosemary twig, and bay leaf. Stir and cover. Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.

Uncover the artichokes and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Turn heat up just a notch and add in wine. Let the artichokes steam until the wine is reduced.

Turn off the heat.

Add in the toasted breadcrumbs, 1 ½ tablespoons of parsley and ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese. Stir.

Serve with additional parsley and grated cheese.
