In modern times, grilled duck has gained popularity beyond Cambodia, with variations emerging in neighboring countries and among international food enthusiasts.

Prepare the duck by cleaning and patting it dry.
Make a marinade by blending garlic, lemongrass, ginger, soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and salt.
Rub the marinade all over the duck, ensuring it gets into the cavity.
Cover and refrigerate the duck for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the duck from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
Place the duck on the grill, breast side down, and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Flip the duck and continue grilling for another 15-20 minutes until the skin is crispy and the meat is cooked through.
Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F.
Remove the duck from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Serve with lime juice, chopped chili, and green onions on top.
Pair with steamed rice.
