Thaw the store-bought puff pastry on the countertop and unfold it without rolling it out.
Take the wheel of brie and either cut off the top or poke holes in it with a fork to allow the jam to seep in.
Spread fig jam generously over the brie.
Fold the sides of the puff pastry over the brie and pinch to seal it tightly.
If using, prepare an egg wash by whisking one egg with a little water and brush it over the pastry for a glossy finish.
Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with a Silpat or silicone baking mat.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
Let the baked brie cool for about 10 minutes before serving to prevent the cheese from oozing out.
Transfer the baked brie to a serving board and decorate with seasonal fruits, walnuts, pomegranate seeds, and assorted crackers.
