Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.

Place 12 chicken drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet.

In a bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of salt, 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.

Sprinkle the spice mixture over the chicken drumsticks.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Place the seasoned chicken in the preheated oven.

After 15 minutes, flip the drumsticks over.

After 30 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush with the prepared barbecue sauce.

Return the chicken to the oven for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
