Do Nothing Cake - Lynn's Recipes

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour.

Beat 2 eggs in a separate bowl and then add to the flour.

Add 1 large can of crushed pineapple with juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon vanilla to the bowl.

Stir all ingredients together until mixed well.

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

While the cake is baking, prepare the icing by combining 1 stick of butter, 1 cup of evaporated milk, and 1 cup of sugar in a pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Once the cake is done, test it with a cake tester to ensure it comes out clean.

Remove the icing from the heat and add 1 cup of chopped pecans and 1 cup of shredded coconut, stirring to combine.

Pour the icing over the hot cake and spread it out with a spoon.

Let the cake cool completely before serving.

Cut a piece of the cooled cake to serve.
