Prep the mirepoix by dicing onions, carrots, and celery.

Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat and melt 1/2 stick of butter.

Add half of the mirepoix to the pot and sweat it down until tender.

Add 1 tablespoon of Better Than Bouillon chicken base and 1 tablespoon of Italian herb paste.

Mix in a pinch of red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.

Pour in 8 cups of low sodium chicken broth and add smoked turkey.
