Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
Add sugar, spices, and heavy cream to the melted butter and bring to a boil.
Cut the heat off and let the mixture cool to the side.
Spray the inside of a baking dish with baker's dry spray.
Use Pillsbury crescent rolls (8 pack) for wrapping the apples.
Peel and core the apples.
Place each apple at the widest end of the crescent roll dough and fold the sides over the apple.
Roll the dough from the wider end to the thinner end, wrapping the apple completely.
Place the wrapped apple in the baking dish.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the remaining apples in the same way and place them in the dish.
Pour the cooled butter mixture over the wrapped apples.
Pour apple cider around the edges of the dish, avoiding pouring it directly on top of the apples.
Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
