Prepare the tempura batter by mixing all-purpose flour, corn starch, baking powder, garlic powder, pepper powder, salt, and 2 egg whites in a bowl.

Add ice cubes to the batter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add cold water to the batter until it reaches a semi-thick consistency, ensuring there are no lumps.

Heat oil in a pan for frying.

Coat each marinated chicken piece with the flour mix, then dip it into the tempura batter.

Drop the battered chicken pieces directly into the hot oil.

Fry the chicken pieces, flipping them in between, until they are golden and crispy, ensuring the chicken is cooked through.
