Peel and rinse the carrot under cold running water.

Boil the saltfish at least twice and debone it.

Shred the carrot and chop the onion, scallion, thyme, scotch bonnet pepper, and garlic.

Open the beans and sweet corn, rinse them off, and set aside half of each.

Heat vegetable oil in a pot on the stove.

Add the shredded carrot, onion, scallion, thyme, scotch bonnet pepper, and garlic to the pot and combine.

Add the rinsed beans and sweet corn to the mixture and combine everything together.
