This dish highlights the tender meat and deep flavors from slow braising, making it a favorite for special occasions and family gatherings. Season the meat with salt, black pepper, and mixed dry herbs, rubbing the spices on both sides.
In a pan, add butter and place the veal shank pieces in it.
Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for 3 minutes.
Add garlic cloves to the pan and let the meat cook for another 20-25 minutes, drizzling the melted butter infused with garlic over the meat every 5 minutes.
Serve with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes.
