Soak raisins in water to soften them.
Clean anchovies by washing them and removing their bones.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add chopped onion; cook for about 2 minutes.
Lower the heat and add the anchovies to the pan, allowing them to dissolve in the oil.
Add tomato paste and some water to the pan, stirring to create a sauce.
Add the soaked raisins (squeezed to remove excess water) and pine nuts to the sauce, stirring well.
Let the sauce cook for about 10 minutes, tasting for saltiness before adding more salt.
Boil water in a large pot, adding a little salt, and cook the mafalde pasta according to package instructions.
In a separate pan, heat olive oil and roast the bread crumbs at medium temperature, stirring frequently to prevent burning until they are lightly browned.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce, mixing well to combine.
Add some of the roasted bread crumbs to the pasta and sauce mixture before serving.
