Chicken Tempura

1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup cold water
1 egg, beaten
Vegetable oil for frying
Dipping sauce (soy sauce, ponzu, or tempura sauce)
