Boil water in a large pot over medium heat.

Add piloncillo, stirring until dissolved.

Add cinnamon sticks and cloves; simmer for 10 minutes.

Chop guava, apples, and orange; add to the pot.

Add prunes and raisins; simmer for another 15 minutes.

Stir in hibiscus flowers and continue to simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.

Strain the mixture into a serving pitcher.

Add vanilla extract and lime juice; stir well.

Serve warm, optionally with a splash of rum.
