Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl; let sit until frothy, about 5-10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and spices.
In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the yeast mixture to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf or desired shape.
Place the shaped dough on a greased baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter for a shiny finish.
Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
