Blackberry Puff Pastry

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases.
Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles, about 4 inches each.
In a bowl, combine blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
Spoon the blackberry mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket, sealing the edges with a fork.
Beat the egg with milk in a small bowl to create an egg wash.
Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash for a golden finish.
Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
