Honey is a natural sweetener.

Prepare a 1 quart canning jar to hold the pickled eggs.

Gather ingredients: 1 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup water, pickling spices, canned sliced beets, and 1 dozen hard-boiled eggs.

Mix the brine: Combine 1 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup water in a bowl.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of pickling spices to the brine mixture.

Open the can of sliced beets and pour in most of the juice, reserving some for later use.

Add 2-3 slices of beets to the jar.

Heat the brine mixture on the stove until it reaches a boil, then let it cool for about 5 minutes.

Layer the eggs and beets in the jar, adding another 1/4 teaspoon of pickling spices on top.

Pour the cooled brine over the eggs and beets until fully submerged.

Seal the jar and let it sit for 2-3 days before consuming.
