Honey is a natural sweetener.

Bring a pot of water with the eggs in it to a boil.

Turn off the heat and cover the pan, leaving it for 10 minutes.

Drain the water and cover the eggs in cold water for another 10 minutes.

Peel the eggs after cooling them in cold water.

Prepare the brine by heating water and adding sugar until it dissolves.

Pour in vinegar and heat through.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of pickling spice to the brine and stir.

Place a few eggs and some pieces of chopped onion in a quart jar, layering them.

Pour the hot brine over the eggs and onion until they are fully submerged.

Seal the jar and flip it over.

Refrigerate the jar for 2-3 days before eating, but it can last 3-4 months.
