Measure 250g (2 cups) all purpose flour and add to a bowl.
Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp instant yeast to the flour.
Pour in 1 tbsp oil and stir to combine.
Gradually add 125ml+2 tbsp warm water (1/2 cup+2 tbsp) and stir until mixed.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes or until smooth.
If the dough is too dry, add a little water to adjust the consistency.
Form the dough into a ball and place it in a large bowl.
Drop some oil into the dough and coat it evenly.
Cover the bowl and let the dough proof for an hour or more, depending on room temperature.
After an hour, the dough should double in size.
On a work surface, the dough should be smooth and elastic without needing extra flour to handle it.
Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces.
Flatten each piece of dough lengthwise.
Place 4 slices of zucchini on each piece of dough.
Spread garlic butter on the dough before adding zucchini.
Fold the dough over to expose half of the zucchini slices.
Press both ends to secure the zucchini inside the dough.
Spread more garlic butter on top and roll the dough to create a rose shape.
Place the rose-shaped dough in a round baking dish or any pan.
Cover the dish and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Prepare an egg wash and brush it over the dough before baking.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
Check for doneness as oven temperatures may vary.
Serve warm.
