2024 NHC Bronze Dunkels Bock All-Grain Recipe

Heat water in a brew kettle to 160°F.

Add crushed malted barley and steep for 30 minutes.

Remove the grains and bring the liquid to a boil.

Add hops and boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add caramel malt and dark malt for the last 15 minutes of the boil.

Cool the wort rapidly to around 70°F using a wort chiller.

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel.

Add yeast and seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock.

Ferment for 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature around 65-70°F.

Once fermentation is complete, transfer to a bottling bucket.

Add priming sugar and bottle the beer.

Let the bottles carbonate for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.

Chill and enjoy your Dunkles Bock.
