Add the prepped beans to the pot along with a Maggie cube for flavor.
Stir in the brown rice and mix well with the other ingredients.
Add Caribbean color seasoning to achieve the desired color of the rice, adjusting as necessary.
Pour in coconut milk to cover the rice slightly, then add broth from the beans and meat.
Add thyme and scotch bonnet pepper to the mixture.
Cover the pot and let it cook, allowing the rice to steam.
Add okra to the pot, letting it steam without cooking it too much.
Lower the heat and cover the pot to finish cooking the rice and okra.
After cooking, add the remaining green onions and cilantro before serving.
