Transfer the beans to a blender with a small amount of broth and blend for five seconds.
Heat corn oil in a pan over medium heat and add the blended beans.
Cook the beans on low heat for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Cut the plantains in half and then slice them into three pieces each.
Fry the plantains in the pan until golden brown on both sides.
Plate the refried beans, sour cream, cheese, and plantains.
