Welcome to the channel and introduce the dish: Ackee Fry Dumplings.
Sauté vegetables: garlic, white onion, sweet pepper, and scotch bonnet pepper for 3-4 minutes.
Add cooked ackee to the sautéed vegetables, about a tablespoon.
Season with 1.5 teaspoons of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Cook the ackee mixture for another 8 minutes to incorporate flavors.
Prepare the dough: Make a well in 1 cup of flour, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of baking powder.
Add milk to the dry ingredients to form the dough (water can be used as an alternative).
Roll the dough into a ball and create a wide center for the filling.
Place the ackee mixture in the center of the dough and pinch to seal it tightly.
Heat vegetable oil in the same pot used for the ackee mixture to retain flavor.
Carefully place the dumplings in the oil, ensuring the sealed side is down first.
Cook on medium to low heat to prevent burning, about 1.5 minutes until done.
Check the dumpling for doneness and serve.
