Spray cake pans with Joy and place parchment paper in the bottom.

In a bowl, mix 1 box of Duncan Hines classic yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup Crisco oil, 1/2 cup sugar, and 4 jumbo eggs until combined.

Fold in 11 ounces of canned mandarin oranges (not drained).

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans.

Bake in a 350°F oven for about 20 minutes.

For the icing, drain 14.5 ounces of canned crushed pineapple, saving the juice.

Mix the drained pineapple with 1 package of vanilla instant pudding mix, adding saved juice if needed to thin it down.

Spread the icing over the cooled cake layers.
