Pick kale from the garden, wash it, and strip the leaves from the stems.
Wash the kale and let it dry.
Heat olive oil in a saucepan.
Slice a large clove of garlic and add it to the cold oil.
Slice a red onion into half centimeter pieces and add it to the pan with garlic.
Turn down the temperature to prevent the garlic from burning and sauté for a couple of minutes until the onion is soft.
Chop half a head of broccoli into small pieces and add it to the pan.
Add the kale to the pan and mix with the broccoli.
Add half a glass of dry white wine, a pinch of salt, a generous amount of black pepper, and optional chili flakes.
Cover the pan and cook for 10 to 15 minutes until the broccoli is blanched and the kale has reduced in volume.
Break spaghetti into a couple of inch pieces and prepare other ingredients like chopping plum tomatoes and halving olives.
Check the vegetables, mix them, and add hot water to cover the surface of the vegetables.
Add the spaghetti to the pan and mix everything together, cooking the pasta in the same pan.
A few minutes before the spaghetti is done, add the chopped tomatoes and olives.
Once the pasta is cooked, remove from heat and add a handful of parmesan cheese, mixing until melted.
Add a little more olive oil and mix to achieve a creamy consistency.
